Sometimes it’s important to realise that you don’t need a lot of money and special effects to make a thoughtful, shareable video. ‘Change Your World’ is a great example of this. American Express could easily have afforded to hire some big name actors to play their parts as scripted, but what truely makes this video effective is the use of real people and real emotions. The concept is simple and available to any brand or business, of any size – ask some of your customers to appear in a talking heads video, maybe add some of the brands corporate colours in the background, and then create a scenario that elicits honest reactions from the people in the video. None of this needs to be forced, or scripted. Just well planned and actioned.
